Large 19th Century over mantle mirror with moulded and distressed gilt stepped arched frame. Original foxed mercury glass and panelled back. Frame is rigid and in good order. Base is a detached oak beam with wedges to work as podium. Faded grandeur of great beauty. A piece of art with a purpose.
